Future Automated Cargo Vehicle on Guideway
MegaRail offers future high-speed cargo transfer service that will share the
MegaRail system with personal automobiles and public passenger service to assure
efficient, low-cost operations. Most cargo currently transported in large,
over-the-road trucks can be moved in MegaRail containers. Cargo containers may
be lifted from MegaRail carriage for local transport on flat-bed trucks.

MegaRail Cargo Container
MegaRail cargo containers may be removed from carrier vehicles for
local transport by trucks to and from points away from cargo terminals located
along MegaRail guideways. Large end doors allow standard forklifts to move
palletized cargo into and out of containers in exactly the same manner as
large trucks are loaded and unloaded. Up to two tons of palletized cargo can be
accommodated.

MegaRail Automated Cargo Vehicle - Empty
MegaRail cargo vehicle sloping end caps fold down to reduce
aerodynamic drag during movement of empty vehicles to minimize energy use by
dead heading vehicles. The patented folding end caps contain provisions to hold the removable cargo container in place for shipment on the guideways.
